Lake Thunderbird
Thunderbird Lake, located in Thunderbird State Park, is thirteen miles east of the city of Norman, Oklahoma in central Cleveland Co.. The lake has a surface area
of 4,641 sq. acres. Bureau of Reclamation built the dam in the mid 1960's. Within the park, two marinas, Calipso Cove Marina, and Little River Marina, which are
operated by private concessionaires, provide dockage for both sailboats and motorcraft. Neither marina operates hoist facilities. The park maintains a number of
launch ramps for trailered watercraft. Thunderbird Lake is home of Thunderbird Sailing Club. Further information on park facilities can be obtained by writing the
