Johnson Lake
Johnson Lake is a manmade reservoir located in South Central Nebraska. It is managed by Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District. It is one of the most popular and well-developed recreation areas in Nebraska.
Located seven miles southwest of Lexington, the lake is not large as reservoirs go (only 11 miles of shoreline and 2,500 water surface acres), but its variety of recreational opportunities, its central location and its accessibility help draw large numbers of visitors. Water Skiing, swimming, fishing, and sailing are just some of the activities that Johnson Lake provides.
